
An eating disorder is a psychological illness that manifests itself in unhealthy eating habits. There are different kinds of eating disorders, but all of them have negative consequences for the health of the individual, and as such have negative consequences for teeth.



Do you love sweets? Do you take 2-3 lumps in your tea or coffee? If you answered yes to these two questions, you are at heightened risk of tooth decay. Whether you already have fillings or not, your teeth are being destroyed by bacteria.
Most systemic diseases affect the oral cavity, and acid reflux disease is sadly no exception. Although not primarily a dental illness, acid reflux disease does have negative connotations for the teeth, and does warrant special attention.
